Why Food Matters

Why feed your pet real Whole Foods?

By Jeffrey Lynn

We at Sierra Tails take great care in formulating our food to be digestible and nutritious. All our veggies are carefully selected, blended, and broken down, so your pet gets all the nutrients, not carrots in, carrots out. Our meats are cooked at perfect temperatures to retain all the proteins, the Taurine, and the nutrition. Due to cost, we do not do all organic, but our food is delicious with sound nutrition to promote health and vibrancy far beyond what kibble can provide. By feeding your pet Sierra Tails, you are light years ahead of anything out there; even the most expensive kibble, in the end, is still dried-out cereal with low-quality proteins and vitamins sprayed on it. Canned food is processed with high heat, killing much of the protein and nutrients, and again, must be fortified.

We love our pets and all they do for us. Giving them healthy food that they enjoy and love is so rewarding. When you put the bowel down for the first time or the hundredth time, you will love seeing the look on their face. Is this really for me? I get to eat yummy real food.

Dogs are becoming increasingly susceptible to diseases at an alarming rate, partly due to poor-quality food and environmental factors such as pollution and climate change. You can pay upfront for good nutrition to prevent poor quality of life, expensive medications, and vet bills.

At Sierra Tails, we believe that food matters—for all living things, not just dogs. Food empty of good nutrition is like watering your plants with distilled water; empty of nutrients, they will only survive so long and struggle to be well. We understand that education on pet nutrition and pet food practices in manufacturing kibble and dog food has not yet reached mainstream awareness. That's why we are here to help. We are always ready to share our knowledge if you want to learn more about the pet food industry practices and pet nutrition. We believe that by understanding the importance of good nutrition, you can make informed decisions about your pet's health and well-being.
